Recently, Furukawa Electric Xi'an Optical Communication Co., Ltd. has successfully passed the ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management System Certification. This is an important manifestation of Xigu's continuous commitment to green and sustainable development, and it also marks that  Furukawa has achieved significant results in energy efficiency management for energy conservation and carbon reduction.

Furukawa has passed the ISO 50001 Energy Management System Certification Audit by CEPREI Certification Center. From Feb. 13th to 16th, 2023, three audit experts from CEPREI Certification Center conducted a comprehensive and detailed review of our company's processes such as document management, resource provision, energy procurement process, on-site production and energy usage, risk control, and personnel training through on-site evaluation and document review. The audit experts unanimously agreed that our company's management attaches great importance to system construction, the operation control is effective, and there is a mechanism for continuous improvement.

This audit is the first one since the implementation of the ISO 50001 Energy Management System standards, indicating that the energy management system established and implemented by Furukawa in accordance with international standards complies with the requirements of ISO 50001 and is operating effectively.

The implementation of the Energy Management System can effectively manage energy consumption and costs, continuously improve energy utilization efficiency, control and reduce operating costs. Meanwhile, implementing energy management is conducive to establishing the concept of energy conservation and emission reduction, building confidence in continuous improvement, and gradually forming a self-discipline mechanism for energy conservation and emission reduction, which is a manifestation of the company's fulfillment of social responsibilities.
